With the help of Canva, I have put together some fun Zoom backgrounds to help spice up your next meeting. Zoom backgrounds are a good place to show off your personality and fav hobbies, but a bad place to show off the clutter in your house or your half-dressed spouse. Do us all a favor and add a virtual background to your Zoom meetings, moving forward.
Not sure how to make this Zoom voodoo happen? Here is how to add a virtual background:
- Open Zoom
- Join or create a meeting
- Find the “Stop Video” camcorder on the bottom of the screen
- Click on the ^ (up arrow) to the right of it to find the “Choose Virtual Background” menu option. Click on it.
- Now, locate the “+” to the right of “Choose Virtual Background”
- You will then see the option to add image or add video
- Once you locate the file you want (always remember where you save your files!), click “open” and you will see the new virtual background displayed. (If you have a green screen, this is where you will click “I have a green screen”. If you do not, leave the box unchecked.)
- Closeout of the window and you are ready to go
- I chose Animated Angel Wings (seemed appropriate) 🙂
